Chồng Chồng Sticker

In Vietnamese, the word for married couple is vợ chồng, which literally means “wife–husband.” The term is gender specific and traditionally refers to a heterosexual couple.

In queer circles, a new term emerged: chồng chồng, modern slang for a gay married couple.

Because if language doesn’t name us, we name ourselves.
